Probably the greatest amount of drawings in one post so far. After the longest hiatus ever.19/4/2024 Hello again, I'm coming back from down under, somewhere from deep below all the shadows of this realm. Here to do some dumping of drawings because I recently felt like doing some digital work again in the oekaki board on CS. I've spent more time in my sketchbook this past year. I've been studying a little for once, both my colourpencils, fur, human anatomy and expressions.

Another year has soon passed. Another year yet again not truly finished with this site, not by far. It's getting there at some parts while on some - not so much. Recently I found all the old texts I once upon a time wrote for most of my characters; only a few remains to find.
I seem to always receive some sort of inspiration-sprak around the end and begging of each year ... It intrigues me and I embrace it. This year has been dark in so many ways - both in the world itself and both for creativity on my part. I can admit one thing though. Damn it's been years since I've written as much as I have this past year. Last autumn I decided to have part one of "The last Legend" finished by New Years Eve 2022; it is, merely some proof reading and editing to do (it's still resting and I'm re-reading it time and time again) and earlier this summer to inspire me some more; I decided to do a little something outside of nanowrimo but still using their website as help to keep track of things. Which in turn however ended with me not participating in this year's nanorwimo at all, sadly (partly because I knew I would be too busy during October/November) ... However I ended up writing a lot anyway during the first period I set up a goal to write 50k words for my story "Land of the dead" ... I've not yet reached that goal though (as I'm writing this I'm at 43k words) - but soon enough I shall and if my inspiration keeps up I just might finish it sometime early next year. As it is right now I have one and a half chapter left to write, two and a half if I feel like it. Which is quite exiting! It wasn't the story I had planned on continue working with from the very beginning this year ... Oh well, at least it feels like a great decision right now. I guess I will see how it turns out, at least I'm enjoying my writing deep to my core and I shall keep following along in the flow I've found among the words. I don't know why I haven't posted this here yet. Probably because I had planned to make banners for each country and such. But you may live with this here for now. It's the first map I've ever done; I started with one of a different world many years ago but it got lost during a computer crash. With that I deem this as the first one that's officially finished even if there are some things I will go back to and edit in the future. It took many hours to make this, because I went all in to actually start it off by making the platonic plates shift and divide from a mega continent into what you see below. I've really done some deep shit world development to be fair. I know I wrote in my last post that I would get to work with a new story now that we have started a new year (though a sad one, seeing war is breaking out once more in Europe. To think that mankind never learn. Isn't the suffering in all the wars before this one enough? No we need more, apparently. Well I don't need it and am sending thoughts to those who are worse hit by this all. I'm still safe, but you will never know for how long. War is a horrific thing and it will always affect your life in one way or another. I've stayed quiet regarding this matter online, since I truthfully feel very concerned about it and have not felt like saying anything) ... But I really didn't. I kept working with the one I finished the writing for before new year's eve as my goal was. Currently I'm proof reading it for the first time as a whole and fixing it up with some minor things. Right now I'm at page 300 (the grand total is 419 pages). Once I've finished reading it as a whole, I will start working with it in parts and fix some of the major flaws and things I forgot to add to the story to make sure everything fits.
The most intriguing thing is that now I'm at the third year in a row of an immense amount of inspiration for this story of mine, which is insane. Last time that happened was between 2007-2010 when I first started writing it. And even more so, this is not even the story I will publish first out of the stories I intend to publish someday. Oh and on a side note, I'm finally moving north! Three days left until the move begins! For our decade together I wanted to draw you, though I failed and got scared. For that I am sorry.26/1/2022 Currently I am trying to clear out old shit from my unfinished stuff on cs. This is one of the things I deleted to turn into something new. I wanted so badly to draw humans as something but manga once upon a time, I still do. But I'm not comfortable with it. But I didn't want to delete this at the same time. So here it is.
Though something new has taken it's place for one of my other stories; at long last I've pretty much finished a story (of course all proof reading, final touches and edits are still to be made, but the basics are done. Ended it somewhere past 400 pages), now I shall move onto the next! I'm sick, apparently I draw when I'm not healthy and don't feel like watching any movies (I can confess that I did watch anime all day long three days ago. I haven't watched anime for nearly 3 years now). Originally I had wanted to draw the man above as a chibi ... Luckily I realized fast enough that I haven't drawn him and he's only been in my mind since the dream. Truthfully I have been much too scared to try drawing one of the most horrifying beings I've ever met in a dream before ... Now I have ... With that ... How on earth will I ever be able to draw that as a chibi? Lords save me. I did a re-work on Takumi's clothes to make him more accurate to the 1800s. Still the original looks is there, it's just some minor changes done mostly to the shape of the coat, pants and he got a waistcoat. Sachiya had to do a substitute with Erik, since her sassiness works to make a chibi out of without much effort even though I hadn't really drawn her until now either. But I already knew where I wanted to go with her looks and boop there it is. Lastly it's Leo and with her done both main characters from [ Illusions ] are done. And in case anyone wonder why she's the only one who's fully shades and such; it's since they don't have banners like the others will in the future. Truthfully I am thinking about going back to Suzume, Yukiko, Asmelee and Shizuka to re-do their chibis, since I've evolved a tad with how I draw eyes since I drew their's ... Or well, since I suddenly didn't want to just have sketchy eyes and fully coloured eyes. We'll see what I do ... Shizuka should truthfully get a new chibi though, since her design has been re-worked a tad since I made it. Started doodling yesterday evening and finished it this morning. Some parts of it didn't turn out quite as I had planned ... But the important part is that Maeko did turn out as I had planned.
I painted some digitally yesterday, or well doodled. For the first time in forever, I can also say. I realized a few days ago that I never made the tutorial of how I paint nebulas back in 2013 when I first had planned on doing it. Once upon a time I got many questions about it. So here it is at last, years later.
The description for each step is on chicken smoothie though, since it's with the tools available in the oekaki painter. |
