Will do the colours tomorrow hopefully and I'll probably do them as more than just flat colours, because again ... So pritty gals right here. ♥
Finished the sketches and made the lines for my art trade with Fish now during the evening. Originally I was supposed to do the chibis similar to how I made the ones of Yukiko, Suzume and Asmelee years ago. But I couldn't help myself but to do the lines a bit more proper, hehe. Their characters are so pritty!♥ Will do the colours tomorrow hopefully and I'll probably do them as more than just flat colours, because again ... So pritty gals right here. ♥ Penelope, Dorothy & Carmen belongs to F1SHCAK3 © | Art by yours truly, vaz.

I got meself another Dragon Drop from Mewkyz two days ago. So cute and I love the species. ♥ The art and design below was made by them. It's a closed species so you cannot create your own, but they do have a few of them up for adoption atm - mine's brother/sister for example, are one of them. Other than that I've been looking a lot at [ this journal page ] written by AmandaLyn11 on dA lately. Personally I really like reading about well-worked characters and I just felt like I provide quite little details for some of my characters in some aspects even though I do write a lot about them. So I've decided to add some of the things Amanda is mentioning in that journal page. I won't really go to the point of decribing their blood types, body type, skin, and such things. I find that boring ... Sure, if someone were to ask about it, I'd reply; but it's not something I feel a need to add to their pages. But as for everything else, I really did like a lot of the things she mentioned that one should bring into light while creating a character. Like their best qualities, dreams/fears, greatest flaws and similar things. Quirks I have for my Rune Dragons because it was a must-do for their forms when I tried out for them years ago. But since it'd be fun to know that about other characters too; I intend to add that section to all of them at some point. The part with "The three to five most important things to know about your character" was very clever in my opinion, which is something I will add at the very top of each character's page. Since it should be one of the first things people see and which either makes you move onto the next character or stay put to keep reading about them. I intend to highlight five "keywords" for each of my character's personalities - which is something I used to do all the time back when I first started trying out for characters on CS and I didn't realize again how handy that is; until now. And there were a lot of other things that seemed fun to bring into light on that list in the journal that might be fun to know. Sadly I don't think I could come up with a proper way to write it on their page ... So a part of me is thinking that perhaps I should make some quick doodles of my characters (similar to the ones I made for Timberly during the tryout for him years ago - not so serious but fun and relaxing to make) to highlight some of them. And lastly; either add that doodlish-picture to their gallery or simply put the entire thing on their page somewhere. I know a lot of my characters has so much text (I enjoy writing after all, and writing about them is also my way to practice English) and that I need to add some pictures throughout their pages to lighten it up and give you as the reader (and me the times I re-read everything, which I do quite often I may add) as a break from all the writing. So adding the picture as a whole would be a fine idea I believe. But at one point I will need to come up with more pictures to add in the texts to lighten it up. Alas, I am very much aware of the fact that adding more things to fill out for each of my characters will in turn make it so I get even more to work with for them. And I already have lots to work with since barely any of my characters has their written parts here on the site. But I want to do it both for me and for them. I love them all so much and I wouldn't be the person I am right now if I hadn't gotten to know so many of these characters. Many I have known since an age of seven, others since an age of 13. While some I've just started to get to know. I wouldn't be adding more to them to prove how much they mean to me, even though that partly would be the reason; but I'd be doing it for them and for me. I have faith in them and to me they already are perfectly fine. It'd just be a fun thing to do in my opinion. For now I will keep working from left to right in the menu as I have been doing since the sart of January. With the exeption that I may go and add the things needed for the characters I write about, since I don't intend to add as much information about them as the others - in order not to spoil the stories they belong to. Please ignore the ... "I don't know what title to have"- moment, haha.
I just wanted to say that I'm gonna get a new family member on January 28 - I am so exited, omgomgomgomgomg. Hype! And I'm finally done with decorating my dA. I believe. Being core was fun, got addicted to all the possibilities and have become more active there than what I have been since I joined the site back in 2010. And I just realized that the next deviation I upload will be number 100 ... I suppose I should make that one something special? Not that I have anything special currently in the works ... I've a doodlish sketch of Cour and Kheel going on ... Not that the picture itself is anything special, it's just an experiment on my side and colour practice. And my idea of painting rain for the first time in my life After that I have some traditional painting-series in the works which I'm calling "simplicity". But I've run out of canvases and didn't buy more since I was going to move to my apartment and didn't want to move too much stuff. And lastly I suppose that the one I really should finish asap ... Is the picture of Fallen which I got the idea for back in 2011, made a quick sketch so I wouldn't forget it. Changed the sketch completely as well as the whole concept one time after that ... Then changed the entire sketch and what I had done once more and finally started with it ... Alas, I lost the inspiration for it and got a huge artblock when it came to that one picutre. God my demands on myself with that picture is insane. And a part of me feel like I'm still not good enough to finish it, because I'm not at the level I want to truly show him the way I wanted him to be. Still, I'd love to finish that picture soon ... I mean, it's been seven years now since I first started with it. With a horrible cold, a throath which could kill and fever on its way ~ I kept myself distracted to finish this speedpainting really quick.
It's Suzume (the blonde gal) and Yukiko (the ginger gal) and a very doodlish background. I got meself some new characters, ops. They're so cute though. <3 One I got for free and the kia and the lil dragon I bought for $20 each, so I've spent $40 on two characters in a matter of three days, oooops. But they're both worth it. <3 So this girl to the right is the one I got for free. <3 She's so pritty <3 And it's very unlike me to have just random human characters which aren't a part of one of my stories, so she's pretty much the first one I have that isn't a part of something or entwined with one/many of my other characters. And so far I've just decided to name her Lilith. She was designed by F1shcak3 on dA. Closest below we have the lil dragon. He was designed by Mewkyz on dA who's also the creator of his species. It's a closed species so you may not create your own as far as I am aware. So far I have not yet decided what to name him, part of me is thinking about Grecko or Twiggy, I just don't know which one ... I just might make a poll on dA so people can vote to help me out, haha. The kia at the very bottom was designed by Ivyycaine and I bought him from Desnek (both on dA). His name shall remain, so he goes by the name Seth (even tho I have another character named Zeht, which is quite similar, but that lad is named like so because it means "Earth" and he pretty much is a nature-based character of mine. I believe Desnek had named this lad like such because of the Egyptian god by the same name. And I too am a nerd of ancient Egypt don't mind that aspect + his bling is just so fancy-pancy). And a boring side-note to all this character joy of mine ... My neck is so messed up that I barely can move it atm. Remind me to thank my boss about that, because it was just hurting a little until he decided "I'm gonna try to scare them" ... I didn't get scared, just my neck started hurting from him shaking the chair so the neck snapped and twisted like it did during the car accident last summer. I got pissed and said "no you didn't scare me, but on the other hand you made my neck hurt even more" ... The reply I got was him laughing at me .. Such a nice boss. I just realized that I had been drawing for 10 years because I like it back in April last year, omg.
I'm practising human anatomy again. Sadly I still feel not-so-okay at it and I have no clue how to make wrinkles in the fabric of the clotes. Oh gosh, someone send me help please!!!
Character Written work done for them (word count)
For starters, I have realized that I created this website back in December 30, 2014. Wow, it's been three years! To believe I managed to stick with it and actually use it amazes me.
However, I am displeased with myself - knowing the fact that even after three years it's still not finished ... So starting today, since there's no official "CAAA Character Development Challenge 2018" (and hasn't been that since 2015) ... I'm gonna put it as my goal to finish the writing part first and foremost for as many of my characters as possible - well, for a lot of them, adding their texts to this website. I guess it took me ages before because I kept copying the things from one character's page to the next one ... However, I've been here for three years on weebly now and learned a thing or to. Thus I've learned how to copy the entire layout I already made on one page to the next one. And with that adding the already existing texts I've written should go much smoother. So the bottomline is that I'm gonna make my own "CAAA Character Development Challenge 2018" and use the former goals set up by its original creators. For me that would be 1000 words per character. Though, I'm gonna make the exeption for those whose written parts I have already finished or just am doing the finishing touches to. And if and when I have time for it, I shall make art for them depending on the amount of time I have. However, my main goal is the writing even tho there's lots of other things I'd like to do for my large family. With that, let my personal "CAAA Character Development Challenge 2018" officially begin! |
