Was in a state of shock after it happened, pale to my face and was shaking really bad, but I was more worried about my car than anything else. But when I finally got it home, and was unpacking I realized my neck and back was hurting. The pain got worse and I went to the hospital yesterday. Nothing broken, "luckily" enough, got more muscle damages than bone damages. But still, my car that now have been victim to accidents with is old and pretty rare (not to brag, I just like things old, and there's less of them after every day that passes by). And finding parts to replace all that has broken because of these people who insists on using their phones for texting, looking at facebook, twitter, whatever else there is, even merely speaking while driving (yes, hands free are okay to some point, but not holding the phone to your face, like most people usually do). And since my car is old people are like "oh but that won't be expensive at all to get, nor hard, so we won't have to do the paper work" ... Well think again. Vintage cars means the parts are no longer being created, thus the higher price and the harder to come by.
And yes, me you won't have to pay for to get fixed, I have to try to do it on my own with mere painkillers to keep me going and not being allowed to work for another two weeks. I still have vacation too, which makes this last week even more boring since I'm pretty much in pain every hour of the day so far. So this kid pretty much ruined my last week that I was supposed to be able to do what I cannot do when I work.
So if you are a driver, for heavens sake, PUT DOWN THE PHONE AND DON'T USE IT WHILE YOU DRIVE. Someone texted you? Well, PARK somewhere and answer then, DON'T KEEP DRIVING AND REPLY AT THE SAME TIME. Or even better, don't answer until you've arrived at someplace safe to answer, it's not the end of the day if you reply ten minutes after you got the text. Because the odds are that you will end up ruining someone's day (and in worst case scenario, weeks, even worse, years or an entire life), the way people has done to me.
